We participated in this year’s Fall Queer Your E-Reader event, where you could download epubs of many fantastic queer books, and until the end of September 20th, 2025 (12 midnight Pacific Time) you could download the epub for free right here. For now, though, the book is now only available fore sale through our Patreon page, to read a chapter a week on Scribblehub, as described above.

It was a great event, though, and lots of people took advantage of it! So, if you got here by someone who read the book and recommended it, please thank them for us. Eventually, this book will also be available for print, and we’ll let you know through a post on this website.

They say that some changes are permanent.

It’s true, too. But it’s never the things that people expect.

In 2013, J. knew she was trans. But coming out would disrupt too much, and she couldn’t afford transition.

However, when she inherited her grandma’s odd, supposedly wooden sword, her dreams took a turn for the truly bizarre. They offered her a miraculous solution through use of the sword to edit reality.

Sometimes when you transition, it’s more than the act of discarding one gender for another. For J., gender became the least of her concerns when she inadvertently altered world history for the worse.

Would she ever go back if she could? … No.
