Here is the map of Katofar Peninsula that I drew for Sarah and Goreth and their friends.

As I wrote and implied in chapter 8 of The End of the Tunnel, this is really close to what you’d see if you stood in my home city and stared up at the sky on a clear day in the morning. In the afternoon, the sun would be right in the way. But there are differences between this map and what the place actually looks like. If you compare it to a map of Puget Sound of Washington State in the United States of America on Earth, you’ll find a lot of similarities. Some details that are nearly precisely the same. And that was on purpose, like I said. We don’t want everyone agreeing that this could be a drawing of an actual alien location. We want some people staunchly insisting that it’s a fabrication.

Or, at least, that’s what I’ve been telling myself.

But, it’s also interesting to me how Sarah and Goreth’s brain altered my memories as I accessed them and drew this. While I did find I could identify what was inaccurate to the Sunspot and correct it if I wanted to, the default was to draw it as if it was Puget Sound. And with greater detail than either Sarah or Goreth could typically remember on their own.

I am pretty sure that the Gift of Phage that I was granted before coming to Earth helped me to accomplish this. To interface with their memories so intimately while also keeping in touch with my own.

It is evidence of just how powerful this Gift is and what it can be used for.
