The Tunnel Apparati Diaries begin on Wednesday, July 31st with the prologue for The End of the Tunnel, to be followed quickly by the rest of the book.

Ashwin Pember, at the end of their vessel’s life, is still looking for nems Art. And, after encountering the Dancer and being awakened by Phage, the people of the Sunspot have begun reaching out through the Tunnel Apparatus to talk to whomever might be on the other end it, methodically exploring the myriad of viable addresses contained in the device. Phage has led that project, and may have found the perfect place for Ashwin to find their purpose in life.

Earth.

With three books already written and being prepared for publication, the Tunnel Apparati Diaries tell the story of how the Sunspot Chronicles came to Earth to be translated into English (and hopefully Earth’s other languages someday). These books will be released free to read on this website, chapter by chapter, most likely twice a week (Wednesdays and Saturdays). The print versions will be available for purchase from Lulu.com shortly after the first chapter of each book posts.

We expect the printed paperback of The End of the Tunnel will be available for purchase worldwide on August 24th.

It’s not a one way trip, either. With the sequels, The Sun Also Rises and The Dragon in the Dining Room, Earthlings get to visit the ancient generational star ship, and try to make sense of what this means for all life.
